Who is a good candidate for the training?
The simplest answer is to say most people are called to this work. And there are 3 main groups.
- Bodyworkers who are looking to add to their skill set by learning how emotions, memories, and beliefs are stored in the body.
- Talk therapists who are ready to discover how a body integrated approach can support their clients’ deep healing.
- People who are ready for a career change and are drawn to healing arts that have a strong foundation.
Do I need a degree in psychology to take the training?
No. We will provide the skills you need to do the work. Because of the low trainee/teacher ratio
we are able to support your learning process.
What is the tuition for each program?
The Level One Training Program tuition is only $3195.00
The Level Two Training Program tuition is $3495.00
The Level Three Training Program is $3695.00
Each tuition cost includes videos, articles and workbook materials relevant to each course, as well as the on site training.
Travel and room & board are separate.
Your 6 required private individual sessions are at a greatly reduced student fee.
What is the refund policy?
During the first 30 days of the training program, you can get a full refund if you are not 100% happy or don’t feel we are a good fit for you.
How does the certification process work?
Certification is done through the Certification Board of The Somatic Therapy Center. Upon completion of the program course work, you are eligible to apply for Certification. There is an online written portion to the certification process as well as a video submission of you doing a session with a client.
How do I maintain my certification?
In order to keep all practitioners current with the profession, certification maintenance requirements which include continuing education have been established.
Can I get Continuing Ed credit for this training?
At the moment we have continuing Ed credit established with NCTMB for all bodyworkers.
AMTA and other national boards usually accept them also.
We will be working on getting CE credits for Social workers and Psychotherapists.
